Updated June 1, 2021

Per recent CDC guidelines and the lifting of Minneapolis and the State of MN mask mandates, we have updated our Covid-19 guidelines as follows:

All fully vaccinated Come, Sit, Stay team members will wear a mask at their own discretion unless a client requests a mask be worn when the client is present in the home at the time of service or consultation.
Any Come, Sit, Stay team members that have not been fully vaccinated will continue to wear a mask when indoors or as required by guidelines in outdoor spaces.
All Come, Sit, Stay team members will continue to follow any mask wearing requirements put in place by public or private spaces we occupy during the implementation of our services.
For clients, please let us know if you would like to have Come, Sit, Stay team members wear a mask while in your home while you are present.
We would appreciate it if all clients that will be within six feet of a Come, Sit, Stay team member wear a mask based on their vaccination status and current CDC guidelines.

No Longer In Effect:
For Our Team

  • Employees will stay home from work if they have any COVID-19 related symptoms or do not feel well for any other reason.

  • Come, Sit, Stay walkers / employees will follow the CDC guidelines for social distancing of 6 feet between persons. This includes limiting our interaction with our clients and members of their household who may be working from home.

  • Our team will avoid initial physical greeting of pets until hands have been washed or sanitized. For dog walks, where exercise is the focus, we will be minimizing the amount of overzealous petting, belly rubs, and handling of pets.  For services where we are in the home for pet care, we will maintain physical contact with your pet after washing our hands. So please let us know if you wish to have any play done with distance ensuring toys.

  • We have provided our team with their own hand soap, hand sanitizer, and sanitizing spray. Team members will wash/sanitize hands at every home at the start and end (right before leaving) of each service.  If we will be entering the home past the entryway, this would entail washing our hands in the nearest sink.

  • Our team members will be wearing cloth masks during all service implementations. This is a proactive measure and does not indicate that a team member has any known illness or symptoms.

  • During dog walks, team members will avoid interaction with other dogs or people and opt for walking routes that are less trafficked.

    For our Clients

  • If anyone in a client’s household is exhibiting any symptoms or is not feeling well in any capacity, we ask that services be canceled and the reason communicated to our office.

  • For clients working out of the home, we ask that they set up their residence to reduce the amount of contact our team has with your home.  If possible, leave all the pet supplies right by the door where our team would enter.

  • For clients working from home, we ask that our team can access the home and pet while still maintaining 6ft of space from you and your work space. If desired, we can give advanced notice of arrival and follow one of these arranged protocols:

    • Client sending the dog to walker, if you are home we can have the walkers call out their name and get them ready for the walk by the entry.

    • Client has the dog in their walking gear and hands the dog off to the walker.

    • If a secure (fully fenced) yard or an inclosed porch is available, the client can leave walking gear in the yard/porch, and the client can let the pup out in the yard/porch, like a drop zone.
