Hi I’m Solie! I grew up with cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs. While growing up I also rehabilitated a lot of different wildlife species. I was also the neighborhood pet sitter and volunteered at a rescue during high school. In the past I have worked in boarding at a vet clinic and I have also worked at an animal shelter for several years! 

I don’t have a solid number one when it comes to favorite breed of dogs, but I LOVE labs, Jack Russels, any type of hound dog, especially beagles. I also have a soft spot for dogs that look like they got “electrocuted” and are just a wire haired absolute mystery mutt. and I LOVE orange kitties and Orientals.

My favorite part about working with animals is that they are inherently innocent. There is no such thing as a bad animal. It’s just so insanely rewarding when you gain their trust and share those small moments with them. When they share pieces of their personality with you for the first time.

When I get home from taking care of other peoples animals, I take care of my animals! I love it and it never gets old. I also love going out with friends and seeing their bands play. I love making art and writing. We do a lot of camping and cooking and hiking as well. I’m really really passionate about how important nature is to us. 

My favorite season is SPRING! I love when all the new smells are defrosting, seeing all the baby animals, new leaf buds, flowers and bugs. I look forward to seeing the first robin of spring and the first dragonfly of the summer. As far as music goes I am really into classic rock, psychedelic rock, folk, classic country. My favorite artists at the moments are Cat Stevens, Cash & Cream!
