Service Manager
Sparrow has been walking dogs and providing pet-care with Come, Sit, Stay since 2010, and in 2015 joined Megan in the Come, Sit, Stay office working as the Service Manager. They grew up in Minnesota taking care of various pets- a rat, hamster, fish, salamander, cats, and a dog. Growing up, they were especially close to their tabby cat Fiddles and a lab-shepherd mix, Dino. Sparrow now lives in Minneapolis with their partner Cady, and their senior kitty, Adelle, and Chihuahua-Staffie mix, Kiki. Sparrow has worked with pets of a wide range of species, personalities, ages, temperaments, and takes great satisfaction in learning about each individual pet’s particular needs, so as to best serve the animal and their owner.
Outside of work, Sparrow enjoys cooking, running, live music, gardening, playing mandolin and jamming with friends, and taking their dog on new adventures! One of Sparrow’s favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities is Maria’s Cafe, specifically for their corn pancakes (Cachapas Venezolanas) with the cotija cheese. Their favorite season is Spring, particularly the window of time when the mosquitoes haven’t come around yet, but temps are livable and plants are starting to look alive again! One of Sparrow’s favorite things about working with animals is getting to listen to and observe what pets and animals have to teach and tell, especially when it comes to earning the trust of animals that may be more sensitive. Sparrow feels that pets teach us how to be more present; to complain less, play more, and to be more compassionate with ourselves and others.
