Becca

Hi! My name is Becca, I’m 26 years old, and I’m excited to be part of the Come, Sit, Stay team! I’m also relatively new to Minnesota, so I’m excited to get to know the community, people, and pets here.

I have a bachelor’s degree in General Studies and recently graduated from Southeast Technical College’s Veterinary Technology program. I’ve always loved animals and grew up surrounded by many, many cats and a few dogs! I also gained experience caring for dogs by helping care for my aunt’s dogs. During veterinary technology school, I developed additional hands-on experience with animal care, handling, and husbandry skills.

My favorite dog breed is the Australian Shepherd because I love how intelligent, loyal, and energetic they are. For cats, I have a soft spot for Maine Coons because of their gentle nature, big personalities, and gorgeous fluffy coats. My favorite part of working with animals is that they are always honest and full of love. I love getting to build a bond with each animal and helping them feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, coloring, spending time with my family, and playing with my own cat, Hamilton. I’m also currently studying for the VTNE and love listening to K-pop music in my free time!

My favorite season is a tie between spring and fall. I love the fresh feeling of spring and seeing everything start blooming, but I also love the cozy feeling and beautiful colors of fall. My favorite book is Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. My favorite music artists are a three-way tie between Stray Kids, ATEEZ, and Hohyun.
