Uptown/Lake of the Isles Dog Walker & Small Animal Pet Sitter

My experience caring for animals began with my first job pet sitting at 8 years old, and since then, animals have been a constant part of my life. I volunteered at my local animal shelter throughout my youth and later joined the dog adoption program as an employee, where I worked closely with dogs of all temperaments. In my early twenties, I also lived on a farm and helped care for dairy cows. I’ve been a bird owner for over 25 years and a dog owner for 20+ years. I’ve also pet sat for a wide range of animals, including parrots, small birds, dogs, bearded dragons, chameleons, and cats.

My favorite breed of dog is Corgis! I love their big smiles, playful personalities, and charm! That said, after working in an animal shelter, I have a special place in my heart for dogs who are reactive or slow to warm up. I find those relationships especially meaningful as trust builds over time. At home, I have one rescue dog, along with two cockatiels and four parakeets.

My favorite part of working with animals is getting to know their unique personalities and little quirks. I enjoy building relationships with each pet and figuring out what helps them feel safe, relaxed, and happy.

Outside of work, I enjoy making music. I played viola in youth symphony and school orchestras growing up, and now I’m in my second year of studying cello. I also enjoy experimenting with writing my own music on the acoustic guitar.
