Lindsay’s passion for caring for animals started at age 16. Ever since she had her first pet, she’s believed a house isn’t a “home” unless there is an animal companion.
Her favorite part of working with animals is how fun they are and the variety she experiences each day. Getting to work with animals on a daily basis prevents her from adopting more animals than her home can fit!
Outside of work, Lindsay is a passionate community volunteer and human rights activist. She co-created the Columbia Heights PRIDE Festival and serves on the board of HeightsNEXT, a non-profit. She is also a professional artist and designer and has her own screen printing and accessory business Spare Room Art.
When asked if Lindsay had anything else she’d like to share, she replied “Don’t tell any of the dogs I walk, but I am probably more of a cat person. :).”
