Hello I’m Mae! Since I was little there were always animals around my house. I grew up taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens! Since then, I’ve regularly watched pets for friends and family.
My favorite breed of dog has got to be Chesapeake Bay retrievers. They have super interesting mannerisms and are very loyal and curious. Plus they have the sweetest big eyes and look kinda goofy due to their lack of eyebrows.
My favorite part of working with animals is getting to know each unique personality and understanding how complex they can be. I also enjoy being able to provide the proper enrichment to make these critters happy!
Outside of working with animals I enjoy performing music! I play drums but I also use a synthesizer rack and write songs. Im very passionate about all kinds of music and spent most of my time thinking about it. I also enjoy exploring outside and finding cool new places.
Some of my favorite bands/artists are Hum, Built to Spill, Elliott Smith, Hole, Joan Baez, Nina Simone, and many many others. I mostly listen to alternative rock/post-hardcore but I dabble in lots of folk and indie :]
