My past experience working with animals ranges from having my own young, crazy dog, to pet sitting as a college and graduate student, to working for many years as a wildlife field technician. I’ve worked with birds, wolves, bats, and deer in the field, and I love working outside with pets and wildlife alike! Other than working outside, I love working with animals because I am constantly learning through observing their unique behaviors and getting a glimpse into how they may see the world.

My favorite dog breed, if I had to pick, would probably be a Weimaraner because I grew up with them and love how aloof and yet attached to their people they are. Generally though, I love a mystery mutt because you never know what you’re going to get. I currently have a mystery dog of my own named Billie, who is probably some percent cattle dog and the rest gremlin.

Outside of work I hike with my dog, play ultimate frisbee, and go climbing on occasion. My favorite season is fall for all the beautiful colors and perfect camping weather, and I am currently enjoying the band Sylvan Esso.
