When it comes to experience with animals, you would find it challenging to find someone with more than Shannon. Shannon has been with the Come, Sit, Stay team since April of 2017. Before that, she spent over twenty years working as a Certified Veterinary Technician in an emergency and specialty practice in Milwaukee that focused on “Canine Rehabilitation”. Lucky for our team, Shannon and her husband Troy found their way Minneapolis. Shannon grew up in Northern Wisconsin and spent a lot of her later life in Milwaukee. Shannon and Troy have a Border Collie mix named Phantom.
Prior to owning Phantom, Shannon owned a Bernese Mountain Dog, Dachshund, Golden Retriever, and two cats. As you would probably guess, Shannon has had a wide variety of dog breeds and finds it challenging to pick just one as her favorite. Both her vast personal and professional experience with animals has given Shannon a great depth of knowledge about the behavior of canines. She is always seeking to expand this knowledge. She cites her feeling that all animals have their own special qualities and her passion for discovering these special qualities as her inspiration for working with animals.
Shannon enjoys being active, whether it’s training at her local cross-fit box, going for regular runs and hikes with Troy and Phantom, traveling, or spending time at the lake outdoors with her family and friends. There is no doubt that Shannon’s experience and passion has made her an invaluable member of the Come, Sit, Stay family!
